THE BLACKBOX (TBB) will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test for admission. Masks will no longer be required though patrons are encouraged to wear them. The Black Box will continue to monitor community health data, public health and government guidance, industry standards, and union protocols and will take appropriate precautions as necessary. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, or simply do not feel well, please stay home. By attending a public performance at The Black Box, you agree to our COVID-19 waiver.

Covid-19 waiver

Pandemic illness is present throughout the greater Kansas City region. Prospective event guests should not enter The Black Box  if they are exhibiting symptoms of illness or have been in contact with someone exhibiting signs of illness, particularly COVID-19.

Prospective event guests who are exposed to higher risk or who are in close contact with someone of higher risk should not enter. Examples of higher risk attributes include Asthma, Autoimmune Disorders, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Chronic Lung Disease, Diabetes, HIV, Immunodeficiency Disorders, Kidney Dialysis, Kidney Disease, Obesity, Older Adults, Organ Transplantation, Pregnancy, Sickle Cell Anemia, Smoking and E-Cigarettes. By attending this event, the bearer of the ticket, or their parent or guardian, acknowledges that they and their party could increase the risk of contracting pandemic illness for themselves and for others. The bearer of the ticket, or their parent or guardian, further acknowledges that The Black Box  will carry out preventive and screening measures of event participants and event staff in accordance to public health guidelines but cannot eliminate all pandemic risk to participants. Refusal by bearer and/or their party to undergo preventive and screening measures will forego their privilege of entry to and participation in the event.

The bearer of the ticket, or their parent or guardian, assumes all risks and responsibility for any pandemic injury to the bearer or their party, including illness, damage, loss, claim, disability, death, liability, or expense experienced or incurred by participation in the event. The bearer of the ticket, or their parent or guardian, agrees to release and hold harmless The Black Box  of and from the claims, liabilities, actions, damages, costs and expenses for any pandemic injury.
